Welcome to my photography site, personal portfolio, digital exhibitions & blog

I’m a Bristol-based photographer who likes to spend as much time as possible travelling the world, creating new memories, making new friends and sharing experiences via my images.

When I’m out and about with my camera, I’m happiest photographing interesting people in their natural environment, going about their daily business but have always got time for a still life, landscape or beautiful sunset when it presents itself.

Having spent a good deal of time travelling in different parts of Asia from India to the far-east and I find it one of the most charming places on earth for Street Photography. People are very warm and as fascinated with me, as I am with them. In Asia, it’s very easy to engage with people whilst photographing them, making it more enjoyable and the photos even more special. Even with candid street photography, someone is nearly always looking straight into the lens, usually with a big smile, no matter how hard you try to go unnoticed.

City-scapes and street scenes in Asia are as fascinating as the people themselves. The light and the colours just before sunrise, or sunset are spectacular.

The UK, Europe and the middle east have their own character, people and vibe too. It helps to spend a good amount of time in a place learning how to blend in which is something I always try to do. Either by staying for a long time, or by visiting often.

I speak English & French with smatterings of a few other languages and plan to have a home back in Europe close to family & friends. Chamonix (France) is a favourite spot close to the beautiful Mont Blanc, bordering Switzerland and Italy, it’s a lovely place to travel around en moto (by bike) which is another passion for me that works side by side with my photography.

Shooting both film and digital, I use mainly Leica M-series, range-finder cameras. The simple, uncluttered layout and manual, mechanical controls are perfect for how I like to enjoy creating photos. The design of these cameras can be traced back to 1954 when Oskar Barnack, a German inventor and photographer, created the first 35mm portable camera.

In the past, I have worked as a full-time professional photographer. I still take some commissions but shoot almost entirely for pleasure these days. This website is a collection of my favourite work, projects and online exhibitions. Please take a look at my blog which I’m working to regularly update.

Thank you for visiting my web site, I hope you enjoy what you see.
